Nevada’s caucuses — held in school gyms, churches and community centers across the state — attracted tens of thousands of Democrats on Saturday who wanted to weigh in on the party’s presidential nominee.

Bernie Sanders won in a landslide, but not until after his supporters gathered at those numerous caucus sites, marking him on their presidential preference cards and delivering speeches trying to sway supporters of non-viable candidates to come to the Vermont senator’s side.

Nevada Independent photographers fanned out to caucus sites in both the north and the south to capture the action, and then to the victory parties that followed for both the victor and the runners-up. Below is their visual chronicle of the day.
