Focus: Danny Tarkanian, the Republican candidate in Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District

Who’s paying for it: Tarkanian’s campaign

Size of buy: About $250,000

When it starts: Sept. 26

Where it’s running: Las Vegas

The gist: Tarkanian, who directly addresses the camera in this new 30-second spot, talks about how Nevadans are “struggling with a school system that’s failing our children” and says that he can relate as the father of four children. He says that “things can get better if we stop letting rich, out of touch elites walk all over us,” while the ad displays pictures of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Tarkanian’s Democratic opponent, Susie Lee.

“We can reform our broken school system, make sure all new education dollars go directly to the teachers and the classrooms, give parents the power of school choice with high quality options for our kids,” Tarkanian says.

Disclosure: Susie Lee has donated to The Indy. You can view a full list of our donors here.
